HAVING A HUMBLE CHILD-LIKE DEPENDENCE ON GOD
Luke 18:16-17 New King James Version
16 But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 17 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”
GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY GOOD FRIENDS!!!
I'm not sure if you noticed this guys, but Jesus was doing something in this moment, that I think most people back then would consider taboo. Considering children as being important and worthwhile. That children matter, and I think that's something that we as believers in Christ really need to think about. But most of all how He makes it very clear that to enter into the Kingdom of God, we all need to be as childlike, willing, and humbly dependent on God as children are. I think being dependent on God is something very hard for us to do, because we want to and think we need to depend on ourselves. I think that's why I often do with this first question from this morning’s devotional asks, and wondering what ways I do depend on God.
That's why tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me from his word through this precious story from Mark, on what it means to be humbly dependent on God like a child, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that It will open your eyes to see what it means to be humbly dependent on God. Come join me in this flood tonight my friends, and learn what it means to be humbly dependent on God in childlike faith! 😊
So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning's devotional, and I pray that they get you to not only thinking about your need to be dependent on God but to show you ways or you can place that dependence on Him.
In what ways do you need God?
How can you declare your dependence on Him today?
My prayer for all of you tonight, is that you carefully think about these questions, and that you act on them. One thing I really see lately, is how we as Christians are not valuing children the way we should. That we are treating children especially our own children, as property, things that we need to control and dominate, and that's not biblical. I encourage you guys to really look at your children; to see they're humble dependence on God, and try doing it yourself. Ask God to show you the ways that you need Him, confess that you haven't been depending on Him as you should, seek His forgiveness for it, and make your life one of humble and complete dependence on God. Ask God to give you that childlike faith, that willing, humble dependence on Him, and don't be afraid to live it out. Most of all, don't be afraid to share the kindness God has shown you with others.
