MARVEL & MYSTERIES: Believing is Seeing

Given that we are made in the image and likeness of God, we are more than meets the eye...and so it is with the way we see and perceive the realms around us. Is seeing believing, as we have been told, or does this work the other way around?

Think about it for a moment…

Have you heard the verse Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! (Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!) and thought to yourself, “It is not like I can taste or see God?!” (Psalm 34:8) Or 2 Corinthians 2:15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, and think…these are just idiomatic expressions! It’s beautiful poetry from the Ancient Near East but meaningless to my walk with the Lord?!

I am happy to tell you, there’s so much more, and it is very meaningful to your growth in the Lord and for ministry as well! Just as we have our 5 physical senses to help us discern the world around us, we also have at least 5 spiritual senses to help us navigate and discern spiritual things and the spiritual realm around us.
