‘That’s What I Call Draining the Swamp’: Cheryl Casone Presses Steve Moore on Weak Job Report Due to DOGE

CASONE: “ I want to ask about the government job number we saw lots of 16000 jobs my question originally when the numbers are coming out why do we not see the government job number bigger, a bigger loss because of doge. Someone made the point that between October and December of this year you will see 100,000 jobs eliminated in the government number because that’s when federal employees have accepted the deferred dragon recognition program and the going to resign and become part of the employment.”

MOORE: “Is a question you’re asking the jobs numbers underwriting we always talked about how big the government increased numbers were, sometimes a government job numbers were bigger than the private sector job numbers in terms of increase Trump is doing a good job at the federal workforce which is essentially by my estimate we reduce the number of federal employees over the past several months or so between 50 to three to thousand people, that is a big number that’s what I call draining the swamp is eliminating so many of the extra government workers and is a good thing when we reduce the size of government. We want private sector jobs not more Americans employed by the public sector.”
