Kim Strassel: Democrats Care ‘Not One Thing About the Independence of the Fed’

STRASSEL: “Is this absolute rich. The Democrats care not one cared thing about independence of the Fed. Lisa Cook was another example of this and now we are having a big fight over her and her seat on the board. Biden definitely double down on this people nominated a zone of pressure on the Fed. This is not a new thing. It is extremely important except for, especially even more so because now you have both the parties doing this. Now it looked, Steven is a definitely an advocate for this White House. I think that’s going to play in the minds of some senators as they look at this on the Republican side will that be enough to sink his nomination? Probably not. We should bear in mind this is not the first time in any way that more of a partisan slightly less independent person was being put forward for the Fed the Democrats know all about that game. Most are extremely overwrought from that regard.”
