Synopsis:

The film documents and promotes a groundbreaking new travel service that combined the Pennsylvania Railroad with Transcontinental Air Transport and Maddux Airlines to make it possible to cross the United States in just two days. Passengers would ride overnight trains and board Ford Trimotor planes during the day, cutting the traditional coast-to-coast trip from about 72 hours to 48. Introduced by Colonel Charles Lindbergh, the film highlights the efficiency, safety, and modern marvel of blending rail and air travel, while showcasing the enthusiasm of the aviation and railroad executives who helped pioneer the route.
