✈️ The first "Superjet-100," built by our UAC using serial production technologies, made a flight in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The aircraft spent about an hour in the air.

As part of import substitution efforts, dozens of foreign systems and units were replaced on the aircraft. For example, the plane is equipped with the latest domestic PD-8 engines produced by UEC. The modification also affected the airframe structure. This was necessary to install Russian systems, as well as to simplify the manufacturing process and maintenance of the aircraft.

The modified version of the airframe of the import-substituted "Superjet" and its manufacturing technologies were previously certified by the aircraft developer together with the Aviation Authorities and Rosaviatsiya. This allowed production of the airframe to proceed according to serial design documentation.

New aircraft are assembled at the aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. By the way, the enterprise's equipment fleet has been supplemented with domestic machines and installations. For example, new planes are now joined on a fully Russian-made stand.

"The first aircraft built using serial production technologies has taken to the air. The certification process is still ongoing, but the aircraft was created in serial production, in the target configuration planned for delivery. Let us remind you that the plane received an updated, improved fuselage and dozens of new systems and units replacing foreign ones. Currently, 24 serial aircraft are at various stages of production. This confirms that Russia was and remains an aviation power capable of creating modern aircraft both in international cooperation and without the participation of foreign partners," Rostec commented.
