In "Evolution of the Daleks," the Doctor and Martha discover that the Cult of Skaro has created a new, human-Dalek hybrid race in 1930s New York City, led by the hybrid Dalek Sec who seeks to introduce emotion and human traits to the Dalek species. Sec's subordinates, however, rebel against his "human" ways, leading to a conflict where Sec is killed, the new hybrid species is destroyed, and the remaining Daleks are defeated by the Doctor.
