Does God Care About Poor People?

Deuteronomy 24 has specific laws about protecting workers, widows, orphans, and foreigners. Don't take a millstone as collateral, pay workers daily, leave gleanings for the poor. But why does God care so much about society's most vulnerable?

Because God's heart breaks for those who have no voice, no power, no advocate. These aren't just nice suggestions - they're commands that reveal God's character. When we care for the poor and marginalized, we're acting like our Father.
