FEDERAL CHARGES?! Iryna Zarutska's Attacker Gets Hit With Federal Charges After Fatal Train Attack

🚨 BREAKING FEDERAL CHARGES FILED 🚨
The feds are coming down hard on the man accused of st*bbing and k*lling Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska on a Charlotte light rail train.
According to federal prosecutors, Decarlos Dejuan Brown Jr. has now been hit with a federal charge: committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system.
👉 The attack happened August 22 on the Lynx Blue Line. Surveillance video shows a man in a red hoodie pull out a pocketknife and stab Iryna three times from behind—just minutes after she sat down in front of him.
Police say Brown was arrested right there on the platform, and the knife was recovered at the scene.
Top officials aren’t holding back—calling the killing “brutal,” “horrific,” and promising Brown will never again walk free. If convicted, he’s facing life in prison—or even the death penalty.
This was an innocent woman’s life stolen in a public space. Justice for Iryna must be served and repeat offenders like Decarlos need to remain locked up so things like this can be prevented.
