Judith 16 — The Bride’s Battle Cry, echoing Genesis 3:15.

The story of Judith appears in the Apocrypha included with the King James Bible of 1611. In chapter 16, Judith sings after God delivers His people from Holofernes, the enemy commander whose head she struck down.

Her words are fierce and martial — a song after victory, yet echoing forward like a battle cry. This moment points back to the promise in Genesis 3:15, that the seed of the woman would bruise the serpent’s head.

Judith stands in the line of Jael (Judges 4–5) and points ahead to the Bride of Christ in Revelation 19. The weak confound the mighty, purity shames the oppressor, and the Bride rejoices in the victory of the Lamb.

This chant is not only ancient history — it is prophecy sung.
The Bride’s voice rises. The serpent falls. Hallelujah!
