I Wanna Be a Sailor| Looney Tunes (1937)

Directed by the legendary Tex Avery, this early Looney Tunes gem follows Peter Parrot, a rebellious young bird who refuses to say “Polly want a cracker” like his siblings. Instead, he dreams of sailing the high seas like his absent father. Against his mother’s warnings, Peter builds a makeshift boat, recruits a duckling sidekick, and sets off on a stormy adventure that’s equal parts slapstick and sentiment.
