Can I Improve my Basic Scout Rush & Friday Chatting

The AoE2 Scout Rush is a popular Build Order for beginners to learn. Over the last week I have been trying to learn this build order over the last week. However, it is also somewhat outdated; this one has a 21 pop up, whereas the newest have 18/19 pop up. How can we improve the basic build order to get it up to date?
