Troilus Eyes Copper Surge With Annual Concentrate Production Topping 80,000 Tons

Troilus Gold is closing in on a construction decision after a pivotal year of major developments. President and CEO Justin Reid joins Kitco Mining at the 2025 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to deliver a no-spin update on what’s shaping up to be one of North America's most strategically aligned copper projects.

Backed by offtake deals, a full mine permit filing, and a robust financing framework involving export credit agencies and sovereign lenders, Troilus is poised to become a serious copper player—just as the U.S. adds copper to its 2025 draft critical minerals list.

With copper hovering around US$4.60 per pound, Troilus plans to produce over 80,000 tons of copper concentrate annually, supplemented by precious metals credits. Reid emphasizes the company’s core identity: “We are a copper mine. Ninety-nine point nine percent of our volume is copper.”

Troilus is targeting US$500 million in remaining financing by year-end, with support from KfW, SocGen, and Export Development Canada. The capital structure includes AAA-rated sovereign debt with maximum flexibility—a rare advantage in today’s capital markets.

With shares up 170% year-over-year and a market cap nearing C$380 million, Troilus is not just riding the copper wave—it’s helping define it. Permitting is on track, and the countdown to construction is underway.
