Fast forward to today, and that number has plummeted to a mere 38,922 beds, a staggering 93% reduction. Meanwhile, 15.4 million adults grapple with serious mental illness (SMI), with 33.8% of young adults aged 18–25 and females hit hardest, and 1 in 5 teens wrestling with debilitating conditions. Mental illness rates are higher among those below the poverty line at 29.0%. The deinstitutionalization movement, once hailed as progressive, has left an Ascendancy, a dangerous gaping void in care, and overwhelmed an American society unprepared for the fallout. The mental health crisis isn’t just a statistic, it’s a ticking time bomb, and the streets of America are ground zero. The establishment has turned mental illness into a profit driven racket, peddling pills and platitudes to the recycled tunes of America's recent past cultural glory while the system collapses under the weight of its own failures. Big Pharma rakes in billions, pushing medications that often do more to sedate than solve, while the closure of psychiatric institutions has dumped the severely mentally ill onto our cities’ streets. Some of these individuals, unmoored and untreated, spiral into violent crime, preying on innocent citizens. And who’s greasing the wheels of this chaos on the ground? Look no further than the Soros backed DAs, who fling open the revolving door of justice, releasing predators back into our neighborhoods to terrorize another day. The numbers don’t lie, 59.3 million adults with mental illness, and the infrastructure to help them has been gutted, replaced by a patchwork of underfunded clinics and empty promises. This isn’t just a policy failure, it’s an absolute betrayal of the American people. The mental health system, once a network of vital care for a healthy civilization, has been dismantled by bureaucrats and pharma profiteers who prioritize budgets and agendas over human lives. While the tsunami of mental illness has now become a propagandized voting and activist block masquerading as the American consensus. Homeless encampments swell, jails overflow with the mentally ill, and families live in fear of the next unhinged outburst. The question isn’t whether we can afford to rebuild a system that works, it’s whether we can afford not to. Every day we delay, the streets grow wilder, and the predators grow bolder, while the citizenry is represented by the mental illness cheerleaders of mockingbird media, paying the price for a nation that has traded sanity for exponential anarchy.
