Everyone (including me) assumes Fed rate cuts send Bitcoin higher — but the data tells a different story. Binance Research looked at past cutting cycles and found no consistent correlation between lower interest rates and Bitcoin’s price. In 2019, Bitcoin actually fell after cuts began, and in 2024 the rally had more to do with election outcomes than monetary policy. Their analysis shows that liquidity, not just interest rates, is what really drives Bitcoin.
