The glitz, glamour, and unbridled decadence of the 80s are back in Yakuza 0.

Fight like hell through Tokyo and Osaka with protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and series regular Goro Majima. Play as Kazuma Kiryu and discover how he finds himself in a world of trouble when a simple debt collection goes wrong and his mark winds up murdered. Then, step into the silver-toed shoes of Goro Majima and explore his “normal” life as the proprietor of a cabaret club.

Switch between three different fighting styles instantaneously and beat up all manner of goons, thugs, hoodlums, and lowlifes. Take combat up a notch by using environmental objects such as bicycles, sign posts, and car doors for bone-crunching combos and savage take-downs.
Fighting is not the only way to kill time in 1988’s Japan: from discos and hostess clubs to classic SEGA arcades, there are tons of distractions to pursue in the richly detailed, neon-lit world.

Chapter 2 - The Real Estate Broker in the Shadows:

Kiryu, now an outcast after leaving the Dojima Family, is approached by charismatic real-estate broker Tetsu Tachibana who hires him to investigate suspicious land activity around the Empty Lot and promises to help clear his name. As Kiryu digs into Kamurocho’s underbelly—questioning squatters and talking to homeless informants—he’s set upon by Tachibana’s thugs and forced into a boss fight with Jun Oda, Tachibana’s right-hand who literally tests Kiryu’s combat skills. Gameplay here mixes investigation beats (tracking down tips from homeless NPCs and side-encounters like Mr. Shakedown) with heavy street brawls, and the chapter introduces Kiryu’s powerful Beast Style during the Oda encounter. After Kiryu defeats Oda in a penthouse showdown, Tachibana reveals he’s been acting as Shintaro Kazama’s proxy—assembling real estate to protect Makoto Makimura’s interests and to counter Dojima’s land grab—so Kiryu reluctantly accepts a wary alliance.

Chapter 3 - A Gilded Cage:

The action shifts to Goro Majima in Sotenbori, Osaka, where he’s been given control of the Grand Cabaret as punishment by the Tojo Clan. Majima’s first task is managing the night club: he must deal with entitled customers, hostile staff, and maintain appearances while walking the fine line between yakuza expectations and civilian life. When a wealthy customer starts harassing hostesses, Majima intervenes — but instead of using violence, he forces the man to pay for the entire club’s tab, using his showmanship and wit. Later, Majima is approached by Tsukasa Sagawa, a powerful figure who tells Majima he still has much to prove before being reinstated into the yakuza family. Majima is then ordered to recruit a top hostess by poaching Nozomi from the rival Club Odyssey, sparking a rivalry and power play with competing clubs. The chapter ends with Majima getting mugged by thugs from Odyssey on his way home — he beats them back, returns to his apartment, and prepares for the bigger conflicts ahead.

Fei Hu’s Training (Ongoing) - Majima works with weapons master Fei Hu to unlock new combat techniques and weapon skills by completing training sessions at his shop.
