Homemade 308: 3-Lug

This is another one of my homemade guns. I built this rifle about ten years ago. This single shot bolt-action rifle is chambered in 308 Winchester. Initially I wanted a 308 for accuracy testing, and it originally had a Remington Model 700 308 Barrel. I later replaced with barrel with the Shilen (1:10 twist) match barrel that is approximately 16.5 inches long. The stock has a polyurethane finish on a Kentucky Coffee Tree stock. The stock is beginning to crack so I would not suggest this wood for gun stocks that will take any recoil. The stock has a grind to fit Pachmayr buttpad and is fitted with a 9x Leupold Scope. The stock utilizes an AK pistol grip. The rifle has three forward locking lugs and a unique extractor. With the 3 lugs the receiver is longer than normal. The gun uses a simple trigger mechanism inside homemade trigger housing. The outside coating is alumahyde and the internal metal is all left in the white. This has been a very accurate gun, with some 100 yard groups at ½ MOA. I have several other homemade guns, if this is something you like please let me know and I will make more videos. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. Thanks, be safe and God bless.
