A sniper fatally shot conservative activist Charlie Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University, striking him in the neck with a single round from a rooftop before fleeing into a nearby neighborhood. Authorities described the shooting as a targeted political assassination and recovered a high-powered rifle, though the suspect —believed to be of college age — remains unidentified.
