El politólogo Bruno Lima Rocha recuerda que "Brasil, en su historia de país independiente desde 1822, nunca había condenado a militares de altos rangos involucrados en golpes de Estado", ni siquiera por los hechos acontecidos en tiempos de la dictadura. "Esto es inédito", comentó Lima Rocha sobre el fallo del Supremo contra Jair Bolsonaro.
