Trump envoy says hopes for release of remaining Belarus prisoners within short time

U.S. envoy John Coale said he hoped for the release within a short time of all of the 1,400 Belarusian prisoners that President Donald Trump has described as "hostages".
"Our mission is to get them all out," Coale told Reuters in an interview after negotiating with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko this week and persuading him to free 52 people earlier on Thursday (September 11).
"Eventually, hopefully within a short period of time everybody will be out," he said.
