Ross was born in Warracknabeal and farms land West of Warracknabeal growing Wheat, Barley, Canola and Lentils along with sheep for wool and meat production. Ross is a past Director ABB Grain and ASX 100 listed company, past Deputy Chairman of GRDC Grains Research and Development Corporation, past Director of Western Water. He is currently President of the Wimmera Mallee Environmental and Agricultural Protection Association Inc.
