What makes the USA a demon haunted nation?

We've encountered several traumatic events involving acts of murder against the innocent during the past three weeks. It's as if a mass ritual sacrifice is taking place, resulting in many people being overcome with fear and despair.

There is an existential threat that has entered into the zeitgeist -- something that well defines what can be called a Demon Haunted World.

It’s all part of an evil stratagem, bleak and brutal, used to create shock and awe -- enough to demand that we be subjected to police state rule.

The devil is at the door, and the gatekeepers want to let the right devil in.
