Weapons (2025) Review and Theory

What's being weaponized in Zach Cregger's greatly anticipated film Weapons? I think I know.
Starring Julia Garner (Wolfman, Ozark) as Justine Gandy, Josh Brolin (Deadpool 2, The Goonies) as Archer Graff, Amy Madigan (Uncle Buck, Field of Dreams, The Hunt) as Aunt Gladys Lilly, Austin Abrams (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Wolfs) as Justin Anthony, Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange, Prometheus) as Principal Marcus Miller, Alden Ehrenreich (Cocaine Bear, Solo) as Paul Morgan and Cary Christopher (Mr. Mom [2019], An Almost Christmas Story) as Alex Lilly. Weapons is about a classroom of kids who, all but one, decide to leave their houses at 2:17 in the morning only to never come back (the wording is important). All but one: Alex Lilly. Not only that, but its only Justine Gandy's 3rd grade class that leaves. No other students in any other grade go missing. So what happened? What made these kids all Naruto run (kind of) out of their houses in the middle of the night? Is it aliens? Hypnosis? Witchcraft? Bad science? Threats? And why is the movie called weapons? What, exactly, is the weapon they're talking about?
