Failed GOP Congressman Turned CNN Leftist Joe Walsh Says He Abhorred Kirk’s Transgender Beliefs

On CNN’s The Source, former Republican congressman turned CNN leftist Joe Walsh tried to have it both ways—condemning Charlie Kirk’s murder while announcing that he abhorred Kirk’s beliefs about transgenderism. Abhorred is defined as “to regard with extreme disgust and hatred; to feel strong repugnance, loathing, or moral revulsion toward something.” It’s a very strong word to use about how another person thinks, showing not just opposition but deep hostility toward their beliefs.

Walsh was referring to Hunter, the man who asked Charlie Kirk the final question at the event—just moments before Kirk was shot while answering it. Walsh said:

“Yeah, and I’m sure, Kaitlyn, that Hunter abhors Charlie’s take—and where he stood on transgender Americans—as did I. But what Hunter said was so powerful. You can abhor someone like Charlie Kirk’s beliefs and utterly condemn murder, utterly condemn political violence. And you’ve got to make that distinction, and I’ve had to make that distinction with Charlie Kirk."

I disagree. Abhorring beliefs isn’t okay—it breeds hostility and often leads to violence.

And what were the beliefs Walsh admitted he abhorred?

• Sex is binary: male and female.

• Men and women are physically different: in strength, size, speed, and endurance.

• Safety and fairness require separation: women’s sports and women’s private spaces exist to protect women, not to be invaded by men who claim an identity.

These are the simple truths Charlie Kirk stood for—the very beliefs Joe Walsh told the world you can abhor. They are basic, commonsense, pro-woman positions rooted in biology and fairness, yet the left treats them with disgust, hatred, and moral repulsion.
