Rick Scott (R-FL) announced a Senate investigation into the deadly Palisades Fire that killed 12 people and destroyed nearly 7,000 homes in Pacific Palisades and Malibu. At a Capitol Hill press conference, they warned that Governor Gavin Newsom could be subpoenaed to testify after shocking evidence shows he lied about pre-positioning fire crews.

Spencer Pratt, who lost his home in the blaze, revealed documents proving Newsom’s claim that 110 engines were staged in Southern California was false — only 45 engines were sent, and none to Pacific Palisades, where the fire started.
