Welcome one and all to the Mad Max double feature watch party here on Pacific414 Pop Talk for Wednesday September 17, 2025!

That's right! Tonight, we're not just watching one Mad Max film, but we're watching two great movies with Mel Gibson portraying Max Rockatansky, an Australian police who seeks vengeance against a motorcycle gang in our first introduction to the character from a screen play by James McCausland and George Miller with story credits going to George Miller and Byron Kennedy the former of whom also serving as director of the 1979 film.

The 1981 follow up, Mad Max 2 aka The Road Warrior see's the world in a post apocalyptic state after war has ravaged much of the planet causing society to collapse and the fight for survival in what is now a wasteland is what is considered important.

Terry Hayes, George Miller and Brian Hannant get the credit for both the
screenplay and the credit with George Miller once again directing,
