Why Doesn't God Tell Us Everything?

Deuteronomy 29:29 says "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever." Why does God keep some things hidden while revealing others?

God gives us enough light to take the next step, but not enough to see the whole staircase. If we knew everything, we wouldn't need faith. The hidden things are God's responsibility; the revealed things are ours

Sometimes the most loving thing God can do is keep certain knowledge from us until we're ready to handle it.
