Back in the Day: Chapter 10 - Bus Stop

An intermission for the album concept, I decided to include this as it is the only song that my great friend Johnny & I ever recorded. After the 2020 pandemic scare, I moved back to West Palm Beach, Florida by myself in 2021. For the first two months of that time, I was homeless working multiple jobs to earn my way into my own place, bouncing between hotels, the streets and hiding in a storage facility unit. I got to Florida on a Greyhound Bus with a backpack, computer, notebooks, pens and work clothes.

At one of my jobs stocking a warehouse, I met a coworker named Johnny. Told him about the fact that I make movies, music and write books. Usually I tell folks and they never look at any of my work, but Johnny went home that night and watched my second movie Shirt Happens with his wife. They loved the movie & the next day they invited me to come stay with them for a few days sleeping in a recliner chair in the living room until I could move forward. Forever thankful for their kindness & the time.

We had a few fun freestyle sessions and ended up recording this one song about the bus stop as we both were taking the bus all day every day around everywhere just to get to work. Nobody has ever heard this song before & he didn't know that I was including this in the project. This is for you Johnny, thank you and your wife for helping me in a time of dire need when I thought I was just alone on the street.

Also, for the record, especially with everything that has been happening recently, I support free speech & also support Police. Back the Blue. Johnny is free to say fuck cops at the time, but I hope folks can see now that we need Police. Thankful for their work helping to keep our streets safe for the people.

& Finally, sorry for the wait. I decided to stop uploading the daily new album music for Back in the Day out of respect. RIP Charlie Kirk.
