Why is it bad for a Christian to marry a disbeliever?

Christian asks Sam Shamoun about a partner that he wants to marry, although he is a Christian he later finds out as he was describing that this person was an unbeliever specifically Muslim and has been with people in the past and having these past relationships fail, and since he wants to be able to sleep around, he’s thinking of marrying his new partner, but as his advised, this is not a good idea because this leads the many problems in Jesus himself in the Bible says to not be equally yoked because darkness and lightness cannot be together and it can cause problems in the relationship and can lead to sin
