After David's son Solomon took control of the kingdom, he sought wisdom from God to govern Israel. God was pleased and granted him wealth and honor as well as wisdom.

In this message on 2 Chronicles, chapters 1-3, we will explore Solomon's wisdom, the grandeur of his reign, and his dedication to building a house for God.

David is dead, and his son Solomon now sits on the throne. We don't exactly know how old he was when Solomon came to the throne.

Many ancient scholars believed he was quite young? Eusebius, who was a church historian, Believed that when Solomon first came to the throne, he was 12 years old.

We don't know that for sure because the Bible doesn't tell us. Josephus, a Jewish historian, a contemporary of the time of Christ, said Solomon was much older than 12, and that he was 15. That is still very young.

Concerning Solomon, remember David said of his son Solomon my son Solomon is young and inexperienced.

David told the people to help his son Solomon to fulfill the calling of God on his life to build this temple. It had been in David’s heart to do, But YHWH said David had shed too much blood, YHWH told David that his son would build God’s house…
