Caught stealing a U Haul as a daily driver

Palm Beach County, Florida – On January 29, 2025, police located a U-Haul truck, flagged as a stolen vehicle/failure to redeliver a hired vehicle, at a local motel. While inspecting the vehicle, a person approached the police, identifying themselves as the renter, inquiring about what was happening with the U-Haul in police presence. The individual got caught in a blatant string of lies, having eight declined transactions from U-Haul and a contract that was dated for renting a 4-hour time block over a month ago. The male, presenting as female, was arrested for grand theft of a motor vehicle.
