I just watched Asmongold’s video “These people are f*cking evil..” and I’m with him wholeheartedly. When game developers or anyone else celebrates the assassination of Charlie Kirk — mocking, cheering, or using his death as a political punchline — that crosses a line. In this reaction, I stand behind Asmongold’s stance: these are not just "jokes." They are dehumanizing, they spread hate, and they normalize violence. I want to call out those who cheered — and those who defended or downplayed them.

A senior dev at Sucker Punch Productions, Drew Harrison, made mocking posts about Charlie Kirk’s death on Bluesky and was reportedly fired.

Nasdaq terminated an employee over social media posts that celebrated or supported violence toward Charlie Kirk, citing a zero-tolerance policy.

Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yōtei has come under boycott calls because of the behaviour of its devs.

Why This Matters — Support for Asmongold & The Right Reaction:

These mocking reactions aren’t funny. They aren’t harmless. They degrade the fabric of civil discourse. If we say political disagreement is okay, but mocking murder is okay, where do you draw the line? Asmongold is right to keep calling this out — because silence enables worse.
