1071 1 Tim.4.10-16 A Model for the Church in Life and Doctrine

Paul exhorts Timothy to labour for godliness, fixing hope on the living God. Though young, Timothy must model Christ in word, conduct, love, faith, and purity. His ministry is to centre on the public reading of Scripture, exhortation, and teaching, empowered by his God-given gift. God’s Word demands seriousness, shaping conduct and preserving the church from false teaching and ultimate judgment.
