Domestic Violence Hypocrisy

A few months ago, Wings went viral for pushing his wife down and attacking his boss. Disgustingly, people laughed at him attacking his boss, but clutched their pearls when he shoved his wife. To make matters worse, his wife slammed a tub of whipped cream in his face, sometime before that faithful day at Fat Camp, and people also laughed at that. When you compare people's reactions to those three events, you'll notice a misandrist hypocrisy at play. Shouldn't there have been an equal outrage in all cases regardless of gender?
