The Office of War Information Media Network: A Brief History (Whiteboard)

In 1941, the Office of War Information tapped the massive mainstream media network to run wartime propaganda for World War II. In 2016, with an executive order from President Obama, this network became DHS's Global Engagement Center, the U.S.'s own censorship arm.

Today, the GEC has been closed, thanks to the work of Undersecretary Beattie and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
