In reality, this alignment serves geopolitical agendas and facilitates the entanglement of religious movements with state power.

Both Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are ardent practitioners of Shabbat observance and are associated with modern forms of Kabbalistic thought. As senior advisors to President Donald Trump during his administration, Ivanka and Jared played significant roles in shaping both domestic policy and international diplomacy. Their influence was especially pronounced in the administration’s Middle East strategy. Ivanka Trump converted to Judaism, aligning with Jared Kushner’s Jewish heritage. They’re Zionists who are passionate advocates of pro Israel policy.

Jared Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner, a real estate developer and philanthropist, was known to have a close personal relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In fact, Netanyahu reportedly once stayed in the Kushner family home during visits to the United States. At the end of his presidency, Donald Trump issued a presidential pardon to Charles Kushner, who had previously been convicted of tax evasion,
witness tampering, and illegal campaign contributions.
