What is a Property Lien ? (& what is a lien in full following and below)

A simple explanation of 1 lien. Contractors can attach a lien to property if their wages / contracts are unpaid. There is also a "caveat" whereby if all parties agree a loan or outstanding monies can be attached by agreement to a mortgage or property and if sold this debt goes to the creditor and it can be willed by the creditor
