This is an example of what it is like to wake up with the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis for nearly 40 years. When I am immobile for an extended period of time, every thing "locks up" and it is painful to move. I am at a pain level of about 7 or 8 in the video on a scale of 1 to 10. This is part of the reason why I stay moving around so many hours of the day and spend less time sleeping.
