Gold to Hit $3700 and Silver $42 Says JuniorMinerJunky’s Erfle Amid Rising Sector Momentum

JuniorMinerJunky founder David Erfle joins Kitco Mining’s Digging Deep from the 2025 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek to break down a pivotal moment for the metals sector. Gold futures have surged to $3,700 and silver is now back above $42, as juniors rally to 52-week and all-time highs.

“The sentiment flip is undeniable,” Erfle says. “It’s nice to see the frowns of the past few years turned upside down.” With fresh capital flooding into mining equities, he outlines why he believes this breakout could just be the beginning.

Erfle dissects the proposed $53 billion Anglo-American/Teck copper mega-merger, calling it a game-changer for the sector, and suggests Glencore or Rio Tinto could still enter the race. He highlights a new wave of juniors converting into cash-flowing producers—including Integra, Discovery, and Heliostar—marking a shift toward real value creation.

On the royalty front, Erfle points to the $450 million Elemental Altus and EMX merger, now forming a $1 billion mid-tier royalty powerhouse, alongside Tether’s $100 million crypto-to-mining investment, as signs that alternative capital is moving into hard assets.

While acknowledging a possible short-term pullback, Erfle remains bullish on fund flows, sector momentum, and strategic M&A as drivers of long-term upside in precious metals and miners.
