San Francisco RUSH - PS1 Gameplay

OMG! This port is GARBAGE compared to N64 version. This game is GARBAGE compared to other PS1 racing games. The team who ported this game from the arcade version have committed crimes against video games.

RUSH is one of my favorite racing series. I just didn't want to believe that this version was this bad but it's true. I knew I shouldn't have expected that much from a PS1 port but JESUS CHRIST! It like seeing an old friend you haven't seen in a long time and they have had severe stroke damage. they look similar at first glance but you notice everything is wrong about them from the person you knew.

The only cool difference is the weather effect snow and night. Snow seems like a texture swap with slippery roads. But really does it snow in SF? The other cool difference is a mode where you have to keep your car going fast or it will explode like the movie Speed with Keanu Reeves.

The car physics are completely stripped away. The engine sounds are crap. It has the texture polygon glitches that are inherent in PS1 games. I could go on all day but, it's not worth the effort.
