Drifting migrant boat intercepted off the Senegalese coast

Senegalese authorities intercepted 112 migrants aboard a long wooden canoe off the coast of Dakar on Tuesday (September 16), as they attempted to reach Europe via a perilous Atlantic Ocean route, police officials said. They were brought in safely and are now in custody, they said.
