Bondi v Free Speech - using the Charlie Kirk tragedy to justify censorship?

Pam Bondi seemed to come out against free speech today and justified her position by using the Charlie Kirk tragedy. A synical person might believe it’s time to start asking real questions about her in light of the total lack of any real prosecutions against anyone of any importance but even a believer ought to raise an eyebrow about what she said. While her posted statement references the law, she was quite clear about going after hate speech which, though reprehensible, is absolutely protected under the First Amendment. I have no issues with arresting violent people that are breaking the law but you have the right to hate people and also to talk about it. The left censored us endlessly under Biden and we rightfully screamed about the First Amendment - I do not want to see us being hypocrites.
