Was I the A-Hole? Cash 💵 only? Fine. But no change either...!? Now you’re wasting 💸 my time 😤

Had a bit of a crashout moment at the Sheriff’s Department today. This county only takes cash payments for filing fees — no cards, no checks. But when I presented cash, they refused it because it wasn’t exact change.

So let me get this straight… they won’t accept cards 💳, they only accept cash 💵, but they also can’t give change back from a $100? That leaves me stuck wasting time trying to:

Find an ATM to withdraw smaller bills

Or hunt down a store willing to break a $100 bill

💡 Here’s the problem:

This costs money (extra ATM fees, gas, and time).

It also costs time — and in property management, time is everything.

If a county requires cash payments, they should at least be prepared to give change.

👉 Property managers already juggle enough between tenants, homeowners, and the courts. Adding outdated payment processes like this only slows the system down.

Still, the job has to get done — so I’ll go find exact change and finish the filing. But situations like this show why flexibility and patience are must-have skills in this field.

Let’s Get to Work! Let’s Go! 💪
