Revelation Study #3 Chapter 1:9-20

In this week's study we take a closer look at John the Apostle, the Island of Patmos, and why the author and the date Revelation was written influences our view of eschatology. We examine:
1) Preterism also known as Amillennialism
2)Covenant Theology also known as Replacement Theology
3) Classic Dispensational Theology
We learn that John is given a vision. John is told to write down this vision and give it to seven churches that exist at the time which are all located in Asia Minor. Lastly, we see that God gives us a “Divine Outline” of the book of Revelation:
1) The things which John has SEEN (past)
2) The things which ARE (present)
3) The things that WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER THESE THINGS (future).
