I'm not usually a fan of slapstick, but one of the best examples, in addition what's linked above, was Ricrado Montauban in "Naked Gun" falling off the ledge, being flattened by a steamroller, and vainly trampled by a marching band after Frank Drebin assured all the witnesses that the projectile was only a tranquilizer.
