Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been at the center of major controversies — from billion-dollar Pentagon cloud contracts to pig-butchering scams hosted on their EC2 servers.

In 2019, AWS accused the Department of Defense of “egregious” errors and political interference in the JEDI cloud contract award. Congress even published an official CRS Legal Sidebar (LSB10410) on AWS’s allegations.

But while AWS fought aggressively to defend its own interests, the company ignored abuse reports when criminals used AWS EC2 infrastructure to run pig-butchering fraud platforms like Intellisoft.rest. Victims lost millions, and law enforcement negligence made things worse.

This part exposes how AWS protects its profits but turns a blind eye to cyber crime on its servers.
