The Descendants of Esau and the Kings of Edom

Genesis 36 presents the genealogy of Esau, also known as Edom. His descendants grew into a powerful nation, with chiefs and kings established even before Israel had kings. This chapter reminds us of God’s faithfulness in keeping His promises, and teaches that the greatest inheritance is the spiritual covenant through which the Messiah would come.
