The title of this episode is taken from the track Cantata Mortis, which is the 17th song on the 2nd disc from the Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy Original Soundtrack. It was composed by Takeharu Ishimoto.
The Latin phrase Cantata Mortis presumably means Song of Death.
