same with a 308. I've fired a 308 before and they are mini cannons. They are so loud, and the kick alone can knock you on your ass. Personally i think it looked like your standard 223 size round. However, since there were no autopsy, or ballistics and the crime scene was immediately dismantled, we may never know for sure.
