The gospel in the Tanakh
GrahameGould
I have been trying to study the best way to share the gospel with Jews.
Every resource I've found jumps immediately to Jesus which is New Testament. They don't spend time in the Hebrews scriptures building the foundation, which is what God did.
Now, I'm going to violate my desire immediately, but I'm also including other thoughts I've had about the gospel in the Old Testament.

The emphatic negation in Greek
Grahame Gould δουλος Κυριου Ιησου Χριστου
"ου μη" in Biblical Greek is called the "Emphatic negation" and is considered by Greek scholars to be the strongest way to say "no", "definitely not".
There are 94 occurrences in the New Testament, so we might not get through all of them today.

Lord in the vocative case in the Greek (κυριε)
Grahame Gould δουλος Κυριου Ιησου Χριστου
We will be looking at occurrence of this word and how it proves that Jesus is God.
This will get into the Greek but I'll do my best to keep it understandable for everyone.
The important point to note is the "vocative" case and we'll explain that in careful detail.
And more. Rock joined and we started talking about Eternal Security and Sabbatarianism and more.
Christian fellowship - chill stream
Grahame Gould δουλος Κυριου Ιησου Χριστου
This was going to be about theistic determinism but we scrapped that and just had some fellowship.
I was going to talk about, if God determined everything, how does that not make Him the author of evil?
Does scripture teach that God determined everything? Does Romans 9 teach it?
But that will be tomorrow.

A study of John 15
Grahame Gould δουλος Κυριου Ιησου Χριστου
We're going to start by doing a study of "vine" in scripture and what Jesus might have meant. I want to put John 15 in context of the OT and what He would have sounded like to the hearers.
